Ernst & Young Global Perspective Conference 2014

This past week I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 2014 EY Global Perspective Conference in downtown Chicago. This conference brings in students from universities across the Midwest to learn about EY and the professional services industry. We also got to go on a boat cruise along the Chicago River! I must say, looking at the downtown Chicago skyline from Lake Michigan (one of the Great Lakes) is phenomenal. Here's the view from the cruise:

In addition to all the festive activities, there are professional development events, such as mock interviews (where EY professionals help to improve your interviewing skills with insight from recruiters), and speakers that to talk about diversity and the global mindset of the working world.

More exciting, all expenses were paid for by EY, which includes transportation, food, and hotel accommodations. (We got to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel next to the Sears Tower in downtown Chicago).

The Global Perspective Conference is open to all freshman students interested in pursuing a degree in business, You have to go through an interview round in order to be considered for the conference.
