As you probably know University of Minnesota is pretty famous for research work.
In fact it is one of the best places to start doing research.
Multiple resources, not only libraries are available to students at the University of Minnesota. One of the best ones, in my opinion, is UROP or Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program.
Firstly you can apply with your own research idea or you can join an existing research to gain experience. Secondly, you will be paid (Awards include up to $1400 in a stipend for hours worked and up to $300 for project related expenses). Thirdly you can get credits (depending on the college and particular program conditions). And last, but not least, you can built up your resume pretty handsomely (this will benefit both for job search after graduating and for making you application to graduate or PhD program significantly different in a good way). All these benefits will come while gaining valuable research experience and networking!
